I have been a proud Soroptimist for three years and love this club. I was a Girl Scout troop leader for 13 years and after retiring from that, found Soroptimist International of Chico and I feel like its Girl Scouts for adults in many ways. I have held a few different positions in the club including Director Delegate and Service Committee Co-Chair. I have also served on a variety of extra committees for service projects such as Free the Girls, the Empowerment Project and the Shut-in visit. I feel ready to serve the club at the next level and eagerly anticipate my next few years on the board. We are so fortunate to have amazing members who work hard and have so much kindness to give.
I have been married to my husband Ken for 27 years and we have two children, Zoey age 22 and Tanner age 17. I have been a stay at home mom but I am going to be unemployed from that position after next year, when our younger one goes off to college! In addition to Soroptimist, I volunteer for Sports Boosters and I am the caretaker of a Little Free Library. I have been in the same bunco group for more than 20 years and I am also in a longstanding book group. I love to travel and always have a new trip that is either on the books or in my mind. I also like to stay very active with running and other types of exercise and of course, spend time with great friends.
