Involvement in community and philanthropy

IInspiring and educational meetings
Hear from guest lecturers and enjoy entertaining programs every week. A buffet lunch is served Wednesday at noon, at Manzanita Place (Elks Lodge). Each month, the first meeting is a business meeting – a look at the overall structure, activities and professionalism of the club. The passion, warmth and humor in these meetings keep our membership strong.
Leadership opportunities
We are proud of the fact that while higher levels of leadership are encouraged, Committees support everyone. The president chooses a Committee for new members, taking into consideration the needs of the club at the time and areas of interest and expertise. The following year, members request the Committee of their choice.
Personal growth
We speak passionately about personal growth in the club. Members describe finding their voice and healing old patterns through new friendships. Others claim that it is our outreach programs that stretch them to succeed in areas of self-esteem, courage, personal wisdom and trust.
Network with business and professional women
Exchange information and contacts for new business through internal ads and events throughout the year. Members looking for a service or product turn to advertising we offer in the S/I Chico Club Roster, the weekly eBlast Email Report, and our monthly Tapestry Newsletter. And word-of-mouth testimony creates exposure without hype.
