All new members have a “sponsor” and this is usually the person who recommended you as a member to the club. If you don’t know someone personally to be your sponsor, we will gladly have a member fill that role for you. A sponsor will be there for you to answer questions, introduce you to other members and help you get off to a positive start. Feel free to contact the Membership Committee at any time for questions if your sponsor or isn’t available.
If you are interested in learning more about us we would like to invite you to a Getting To Know Us (GTKU). A GTKU is an informal meeting in a relaxed atmosphere where we tell you about Soroptimist of Chico (SI/Chico) and what we do. You will learn the history of SI/Chico, the different awards and recognitions we give out every year, about our different committees and what they do, and what our annual dues are.
The purpose of our GTKU is for you to get to know us and to make an educated decision to join our club. Of course we hope that after attending our GTKU you would want to join Soroptimist of Chico.
